Tiny Secrets

Hi Beauties!

We've been keeping a secret from almost everyone we know. And now we can finally tell everyone!

Yesterday our cat Mellow gave birth to a litter of 5 kittens! This is the first picture I have of them. Still gross and full of slime. But, I thought it needed to be here anyway. You can see Mellow cuddling the tiny kitten with her arm. So cute!

Sadly one kitten, the smallest one, died this morning. I was told this is very normal, and I shouldn't be too upset. And luckily we still have 4 cuties, to cuddle and care for! Aren't they adorable? I took this picture, while Mellow took a much deserved break from taking care of her kittens.

This all came to happen, when my boyfriend and I decided to switch from giving Mellow birth control, to wanting her sterilized. And we decided, before making it final, we would let her have one litter of kittens. If it happened, it happened. And if it didn't, we wouldn't be upset about it. But she got pregnant, and we were so happy!

Both my boyfriend and I are SO overjoyed about these tiny cuties in our life. Of course we can't keep all four of them, but seeing Mellow blossom into this beautiful caring mother, is a wonderful thing to be part of. We're very proud of her!
