Allowing Yourself Happiness, And A Small Break

Hi Beauties!

I know I usually make very non-personal blogs here. But with the weekend I have to look forward to, in a month or so, I thought I'd share my excitement, and thoughts on letting yourself be happy.

My best friend lives in the other end of the country. Needless to say, we don't see each other that often. BUT! In a month I'm going to visit her, for a whole weekend. This is big, guys. Really big! A whole weekend, where my boyfriend stays home and takes care of our baby (she is bottle fed, no she won't starve). It took me a long time to realize I deserve a break just as much as he does. For some reason, in my head that sounded insane. I'm the mom, so of course I don't get a break, or time to fully relax. I am sure I'm not the only new mom who has these thoughts. The idea of letting someone else, even your spouse, solely take care of your child for a little while, sounds absolutely terrifying. And we have this ingrown idea that if we're not with our children 100% of the time, we are bad mothers. Honestly, that is wrong though. The fathers are just as capable of caring for their children, as the mothers are. They even deserve to be given the chance to spend that quality time with their kids. With Sofia turning 4 months when I leave, I think it's about time I get some "me-time". After all. If I'm not doing well, I can't take good care of my baby girl either.

My friend and I are both giant control freaks. And we like to plan out what to do when we see each other. A way to make sure we don't waste any precious time together! So! What does a perfect, amazing, girly weekend contain?

All images here are thanks to google

  • Starbucks; because we don't have one in the part of Denmark I live in.
  • Shopping; because. obviously...
  • Taking pictures/selfies; let's be real. With two bloggers together? This'll happen. a lot.
  • Blogging; again... two bloggers in one place... hello inspiration.
  • Sushi and sparkling wine; girly perfect dinner. yum yum yum!
  • popcorn and k-drama; If you haven't seen a korean romantic commedy, you're missing out!
  • Face masks, doing hair, playing with makeup; perfect perfect perfect!
I plan on going to sephora when I visit her. This is another one of those shops we just don't have in "my end of Denmark". So I'm really looking forward to some major shopping. Benefit, sleek, urban decay, too faced. I am so very excited. I might even go to a MAC counter and buy some mac eyeshadows. After all. I just HAVE to find out what all the fuss is about. Right?

When you have a weekend to spend with your best friend, what do you guys do?
Is there any mac eyeshadows you think I should look out for?
Or any other products for that matter?

XOXO
