How Would You Like Your Man To Smell Like?

Hi Beauties!

Since giving birth I've noticed a few things changing. Not only on the outside, but on the inside as well. And same goes with my boyfriend. I used to love when he was clean shaven, but now prefer a 5 o' clock shadow. It's strange how somethings can change so suddently. And another thing is scents. I used to love sweet and fresh scents, even on men. The best example here is Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio (which is still an all time favourite by the way). But lately my preferences has changed. The deep spicy scents just makes my head spin, and they really didn't before.

Yesterday when I went shopping, I had to pick up a gift for my boyfriend for our 4 year anniversairy. I decided on a cologne, and went sniffing a lot of different ones. And decided I'd make a list for you of my favourites!

  1. 007 Signature Scent
  2. John Varvatos Classic
  3. Burberry London
  4. Diesel Only The Brave Tattoo
  5. Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gió
  6. Armani Code

007

I was SO close to buying this one for him. It smells absolutely wonderful, and has a cool design. For christmas (among other things) I gave him The newest 007 movie we both loved! And this would have been a great scent to his current collection. But another one stole my heart, we'll get to that later!

Top: Apple, Bergamot, Geranium
Heart: Lavender Cardamom, Rose thorn
Base: Vetyver, Patchouli, Sandalwood

John Varvatos Classic

Another great spicy scent. This one I had looked at online before going. Aparantly it's one of the best selling colognes for men in 2013, sexy and sophisticaed. And who doesn't wanna smell like that? But alas, it is rather expensive, and beyond my gift budget. But one day, ladies. One day!

Top: West indian tamarind tree leaves, Medjool date fruit, Mediterranean herbs
Heart: Coriander seed templar, White clary sage, Thyme
Base: Balsamic, Amber, Leather, Black leather, Sandalwood, Vanilla

Burberry London

A few years back he got this from his sisters as a pressent. They're both young, and not too far off my age. So when it comes to this kind of thing, they're really good at choosing great scents. And this is definitely a new favourite of mine. It's spicy without being too over powering.

Top: Bergamot, Lavender, Warm cinnnamon
Heart: Mimosa flower, Rich leather
Base: Tobacco leaves, Dense oak moss

Diesel Only The Brave Tattoo

And here it is! The cologne I ended up choosing for him! This not only looks amazing in the bottle, it smells absolutely divine! It's spicy in a slightly sweet way. The scent is dark and rich, and I can't get enough of it! Have you seen the commercials, by the way? Yum! (Commercial)

Top: Apple
Heart: Sage, Pepper
Base: Woods, Amber, Benzoin, Tobacco, Pachouli

Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gió

This is a scent I've always loved. I remember finding out about it when I was about 16 years old (ohmygod that's 10 years ago!). I just loved that scent, and to this day I still do. It's fresh and sweet, without being feminine. I've given my boyfriend this as a deodorant on several occations, and he's always loved wearing it.

Top: Cascalone molecule, Bergamot, Grapefruit
Heart: Jasmine, Basil, Sage, Parasodine molecule
Base: Patchouli, Cedar, Vetiver, Ambrox, Ambergris, Pepper, Clary sage

Armani Code

Another one from my boyfriends own collection. And I know I've said the word spicy a lot in this blog post. but... this is another one. Spicy, dark and rich. Words I've said about almost every other cologne on this list. It's hard not to just repeat myself over and over. But in all honesty, it's a really good scent. Noticed how many of the scents I like either have tobacco, leather, bergamot or sandalwood in it? Hm... I sense a pattern!

Top: Bergamot, Lemon
Heart: Star Anise, Olive blossom, Guaiac wood
Base: Leather, Tobacco, Tonka bean

What are your favourite scents for men?
Is there a specific brand you like more?

XOXO
