If the hot weather is becoming too much for you, and like me, you sometimes just wanna stay indoors and geek out... Or maybe you've wanted to try different types of games, but doesn't want to spend the money... Here's a few games for you!
Blizzard has a great offer, actually giving you a limited look into ALL their games. I have only mentioned the ones I actually have tried.
World Of Warcraft
Is a game where you choose a character, choose their appearance, and in an open world, do quests, kill monsters, and level up to become better. You get to play until your character is level 20, you only get some of the races. But this is definitely enough for you to see if you would actually like this.
Diablo III
A highly anticipated game, with the devout followers waiting 12 years for this follow up. You definitely do NOT have to have played the older games to know what's up in this game. Once again, you choose a character, and get's to explore the world up to a certain point. You can level all you want, but since the quests are linear, you can only go through the storyline until a certain point. I would definitely reccomend you try this out.
Starcraft II
If the whole roleplaying aspect of things put you off, Blizzard have starcraft. A tactical game, about outer space. You control an army of either humans, or aliens, and have to destroy your oponents. Building up a base, making war machines, recruiting soldiers. You can play through 2 of the storyline campaignes, and play against your computer all you want. But you can not get access to any games where you play against other players. You need to buy the game, if that's what you want, or if you want to go through all of the storyline. If you're new to tactics games, this is a good choice. There are tutorial games that will explain everything for you. And help you get through this new experience.
League of legends
Is a game that have taken the world by storm. It's widely populair, being tactical but only with one single character to tell what to do. This game is also free. Every week there are champions to choose from, and every week they're someone new. If you fall in love with a champion, you will have to buy them. This can happen from playing a lot, and earning points that way. Or by buying points with your real money. The only downside to this game, is the pvp aspect. People tend to be very crass and rude in the comment box. If you can shut that out, and ignore it, I would definitely say this game was worth a try.
Steam
Is a webpage and platform, where you can buy games, without having a physical copy. When bough, you can find it in your library, and install and play the game. They often have really good deals, and every summer and winter, they have long lasting sales that are always worth a look. But the best thing, is the free games. I have here 4 of the most populair free games on steam. I have only played 1 of them, so I can't say much about these games. But the masses have spoken. These are wildly populair. In the picture above, you can read a little about each game. Try it out!
All games I've shown, except for path of exile, and warframe, can all be played on both pc, mac, and linux. Go get you some!
